One analyst predicts the future, a new iPhone launching by October, and new Apple laptop next month. Can the two new products cement the overpraised Apple growth?
A new iPhone, the so-called iPhone 5, is set to hit the market by October according to analyst of Piper Jaffray, Gene Munster, adding that the next smartphone of Apple will “break other Apple sales records.”
Similar to rumors posted online, the analyst thinks that iPhone 5 will get a sweet, but still critical September or October release date, and Apple will try to convince its customers to upgrade to the new smartphone by introducing a new design and new technologies like Long Term Evolution, larger and better display and new mobile operating system. Munster also added that Apple’s shares are expected to “react favorably” to the iPhone 5 because Apple will try to promote the device until the last month of this year.
Somewhat related, Taiwan makers are reportedly set to build new plants for Apple–mainly to meet the growing demand. Digitimes reports:
Aside from the iPhone 5, Munster is also predicting that Apple will sell a new laptop computer before the end of this quarter–the long-rumored and widely anticipated new MacBook Pro, the 2012 refresh that will reportedly introduce a new display (too), a new design, and with the new OS X operating system with more features that might give the company a new, vibrant revenue stream.
The new MacBook Pro will reportedly ship with a design that will not support an optical drive, and with the Air-like approach, Apple is expected to sell more products online via its Mac App Store, a market with Apple software products, and other applications from third-party developers. Munster said Apple might sell more Macs this year with the new MacBook Pro.

2012 launch (Report)

Taiwanese manufacturers are planning to construct plants in China dedicated to solely producing parts and components for Apple products as the company’s sales in smart phones (iPhone) and tablets (iPad) are seeing continuous growth.Last quarter, iPhone 5 release date rumors tackled the possibility of LiquidMetal technologies, the new display reportedly manufactured by Sharp, and Long Term Evolution that is compatible with Apple’s new A5X chip (the same chip found in the new iPad). This quarter, however, reports focus on the operating system, the Long Term Evolution coverage of Apple’s partner wireless providers, and who will sell more iPhone 5s.
