Nokia Phoenix Dual Core ARM15 Pureview Phone: Time for Rebirth!

Time to explore Nokia Windows Phone design formats again thanks to Bob Freking, who showed us one of his latest concepts, the Nokia Phoenix. He claims that he likes the PureView phone quite a bit, but he wishes it was thinner, at least 10mm. So, he created a Windows Phone 8 dual core handset with Pureview camera on board.

Bob says that Nokia has the habit of recycling designs, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if one of the first Windows Phone 8 units was based on the PureView 808. Nokia Phoenix features a 31 megapixel camera, a 10 mm thick chassis and this is the first model made by Finns with a 4 inch HD ClearBlack AMOLED display with a density of 367 ppi. This model runs Windows Phone 8 Apollo, features 2GB of RAM and is able to record 1080p full HD video. Also, another premiere: this is the first Nokia smartphone with a dual core ARM15 processor.
As you can see there are smaller tiles on the screen, the new sizes that WP8 brings. This design involves rounded edges and a “band” with keys on it, that feels like a physical button area rather than capacitive. Since this device has a 31MP camera, I wonder what the maximum resolution of photos is…

Nokia didn't forget the MeeGo OS users as it just released a New Update to the Nokia N9, The New PR1.3 Update is Now rolling-out in some regions to Nokia N9 carrying some changes in the MeeGo Platform and firmware bug fixes.

The update version No. is v40.2012.21-3.001.19 and comes in at 204.8 MB. Quite a lot of users have already reported having received the update, so it's global rollout will complete during this Month.

Nokia announces two cheap phones Nokia 110,Nokia 112

 Playing the cheap game again? Nokia this week announces its two phones that will try to attract budget-conscious customers, the new Nokia 110 and the Nokia 112.

 
Both with Facebook and Twitter, and also with a web browser that uses the cloud to minimize data consumption, the new Nokia 110 and the Nokia 112 will go on sale this year while avoiding the lucrative smartphone market, and will try their luck in the feature phone market.

The new Nokia 110 and 112 sport  1.8-inch display, and both VGA camera and the traditional Nokia alphanumeric keypad. Aside from the internet data compression, another “feature” of the phone is its longer battery life. Apparently, the two phones should beat the iPhone and Android in this category largely due to its small, not touchscreen display, and also the lack of other features.
No word yet from Nokia about the phone’s United States activities, if any, but the Finland-based phone maker, previously the global phone market leader, is expected to ship the new phones in other “developing” countries first this year.
