Sony Xperia L Concept

Designer Ben Ling imagined yet another new member of the Sony Xperia family, the Xperia L, that can be seen below. It packs in some modern specs, that we might see towards the year, plus a very strange choice of OS, the already “antique” Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with a promise of upgrade to Android 4.0 ICS.

Sony Xperia L features a 4 inch Super AMOLED scratch resistant TFT capacitive touchscreen, a 12.1 megapixel camera with LED flash and Exmor R sensor. This cam supports 32x digital zoom and the smartphone measures 9.5mm, while weighing 105 grams. Xperia L does 1080p HD Video recording and relies on a dual core 2 GHz processor. Also among its features are NFC, 32GB of storage, the xLOUD technology and water resilience. Sony Mobile Bravia Engine is also here, among the specifications.
This sounds like a decent Christmas 2012 purchase and if the price is anywhere near $450, it’s a solid offer and a rival for the iPhone 5 and who knows what other cool Android Jellybean out there…
[Thanks Ben Ling]
